Cameron acquired SBS Oilfield Equipment GmbH, doing business as SBS Drilling-and-Production Systems GmbH, an Austrian manufacturer of artificial lift systems. SBS designs, builds and installs in-well rod lift pumping and progressive cavity pumping systems and associated services. These systems include sucker rods, pony rods, rod guides, pumps and anchors associated with artificial lift in producing wells.
SBS will increase the size and geographic reach of Cameron’s existing artificial lift businesses based in Eastern Europe and will broaden the scope of products and services offered to include progressive cavity pump systems.
SBS, based in Murzzuschlag, Austria, will be integrated into the Surface Systems organization of the Cameron DPS group, which includes Cameron’s existing artificial lift business unit headquartered in Campina, Romania.
Cameron’s current range of systems solutions includes drilling and production systems, processing systems, compression systems, artificial lift systems and flow measurement systems. Cameron is a leading provider of flow equipment products, systems and services to worldwide oil, gas and process industries.
